We are proud to work with Dexus and All Works Electrical in delivering another impressive solar PV project. Our team have recently completed a unique solar project at 100 Harris Street, Pyrmont. This heritage listed property has been converted into a state-of-the-art office and is one of Sydney’s newest sustainability superstars. Constructed in the late 1890s, the building laid dormant for decades before it was redeveloped in 2017. It now boasts one of the largest office rooftop solar arrays in Sydney.
The 606 solar panels which adorn 100 Harris Street’s roof power the base building services, including lobby lighting, lifts and air-conditioning. The solar project overall is expected to pay for itself within around 5 years.
The solar panels will also contribute to a higher NABERS rating, which not only enhances the asset’s value but also supports the sustainability goals of the building’s customers.

Autonomous Energy solution
- Designed in-house by our experienced and innovative solar PV engineers
- This project had its own inherent complexities, such as working with a heritage asset, and a complex roof design. Our team completed additional works to ensure the historic building was safe for the installation of panels. The sawtooth roof features a series of ridges with glass panels that diffuse natural light over a large area. And that sawtooth design is now earning praise as a renewable energy powerhouse, with its distinctive shape ideal for solar panels.
- Features 606 x Jinko 330W panels and 6 SolarEdge inverters
- This comprehensive solar power system incorporates a Solar Edge monitoring portal and Solar Analytics power meter
- Our team worked around the requirements of a live, corporate office environment, to ensure minimal disruption to regular activities
- The system delivers a reduction in CO2 of 322 tonnes per year; powers the equivalent of 33 homes per year; and removes 114 cars from the road per year.
What the tenants say
-
We’re committed to improving our environmental performance across all of our business activities. Having solar panels installed on the roof of our head office is something we were happy to support. Our employees were really curious about the progress and how the solar panels would work. The project enabled us to engage our teams and talk about sustainability.
