In mid 2018 the Autonomous Energy team delivered a solar car park shading system for the Department of Justice at a facility in regional Victoria. We were appointed to design and install the solar car park shading system for the visitors car park of the facility - which is located approximately 200km west of Melbourne.
The project commenced in March 2018; installation of the panels took place from the beginning of August and the system was commissioned in late August.
The system was carefully designed by our experienced solar PV engineers to maximise energy generation, and the project was delivered to the highest levels of Safety, Quality and Performance.
Autonomous Energy solution
- The system features 488 solar panels, installed for total DC solar power of 212kW.
- The solar panels have been installed on custom made steel structures, designed and tailored to adapt to the geometry of the car park.
- The solar car park shading structure provides weather protection for 67 cars.
- Over a 6 month period Autonomous Energy was responsible for coordinating a variety of contractors across the construction site.
