Hornsby Shire Council recognises that the consumption of resources including energy is one of the greatest threats to a sustainable future. Since 2010, Autonomous Energy has been working with the Council to reduce their energy consumption by designing and installing solar PV systems in a range of locations.
In total we have designed and installed 180kW for the Council, with system sizes varying from 1.5kW to 80kW. Each system has been carefully designed by our experienced solar engineers, taking into account not only the available roof space, but also the energy consumption of the site and potential shading. Our installation team carried out all works to the highest safety standards, including the Hornsby Footbridge, which required night work to minimise effects on the major traffic corridor.
The systems installed in 2010 continue to provide the Council with clean, sustainable electricity today - many years after their original installation. These systems are testament to our selection of high quality components and installation by our experienced, accredited installation team.
