Autonomous Energy won multiple competitive tenders with Hornsby Shire Council to design, supply, install, commission and maintain their solar PV systems. The project saw 168kW of solar PV rolled out across multiple council buildings - including Hornsby Council’s Main Administration Building, Hornsby Library and Epping Library.
Autonomous Energy also installed a number of energy efficiency upgrades for council buildings as well as some smaller solar PV systems at Hornsby Council’s sport and childcare facilities. We continue to work closely with Hornsby Council to assess the feasibility of renewable energy and energy efficiency upgrades across other sites.
Autonomous Energy solution
- Premium quality solar modules made by LG and Kyocera have been used.
- LG Neon solar panels are super high efficiency panels. These offer a great visual appearance along with high quality and a 25 year product warranty.
- The system features SMA and ABB three-phase inverters.
- Dedicated Solar Data Monitoring Systems are integrated at all sites for remote performance monitoring and public display systems.
- Both the Main Administration Building and Hornsby Library feature LCD screens in the lobby which display a range of Solar PV system parameters to staff and the community.
- Autonomous Energy has installed and commissioned innovative Solar Data Monitoring and Visualisation systems for Hornsby Shire Council's Solar Power systems. This Solar Data Monitoring System enables Autonomous Energy's Solar Engineering Team to actively monitor the performance of the system to ensure that the actual system yield outperforms our modelled data and that any downtime on the system is minimised and any issues are detected and resolved quickly.
- This constitutes a highly valuable service for the client that is included as part of Autonomous Energy's turnkey Commercial Solar Power systems. Annual Solar Power System Performance Reports are also provided to the client.
