Johnson & Johnson Medical is a leader in corporate sustainability and has committed to excellence in fostering the efficient, cost‐effective, and environmentally responsible purchasing and use of energy. Autonomous Energy was instrumental in delivering a turn key Energy Efficiency Upgrade for Johnson & Johnson Medical’s Australian headquarters. This upgrade ensured light levels were maintained to Australian standards while significantly reducing Johnson & Johnson Medical’s lighting energy consumption.
With a growing reliance on technology, Johnson & Johnson Medical recognises the opportunity for meaningful cost reduction and avoidance associated with energy generation, distribution, and consumption through vigilant energy management.
Our energy efficiency engineering team carried out a comprehensive energy audit to design a solution suited for Johnson & Johnson’s requirements, supplied only the highest quality LED equipment and project managed the installation. As an Accredited Certificate Provider in the NSW ESS scheme, we also managed the creation of Energy Saving Certificates, which improved the business case for this project.
Autonomous Energy solution
- Comprehensively identified and replaced a wide variety of incumbent lighting technology, from high bays to downlights and fluorescent tubes.
- Autonomous Energy managed the creation of Energy Saving Certificates (ESCs) that were generated as a result of this upgrade – ensuring JJM a fixed price for the value of the ESCs.
- The project resulted in a significant reduction in energy consumption of nearly 450MWh/year at JJM’s facility
- Reduced number of lamps onsite whilst improving lighting levels, resulting in significant maintenance and energy savings
- Ensured no disruption to normal operations by conducting all installation work out of hours
