In 2009 Autonomous Energy installed 4kW of solar power at Knox Grammar School, one of Australia’s leading schools for boys. At Knox Senior School a 2kW system was installed on the roof of the Paterson Centre. At Knox Prep School a 2kW system was installed on the roof of the K-2 Centre.
Autonomous Energy solution
- The system features 15 high efficiency PV solar modules manufactured by Kyocera.
- The arrays are mounted on engineered, solar-specific mounting equipment and are connected to an SMA inverter.
- The system is connected to the internet via a smart meter system which automatically uploads the systems energy production data to a dedicated website, where it can be accessed by students, staff and the school community.
