Autonomous Energy designed, supplied and installed a 30kW Solar Power system for Radford College in Canberra, ACT. Radford College is one of Canberra’s leading schools with over 1,500 students.
Following this installation, Autonomous Energy was invited to collaborate with the CSIRO, located nearby, to install a range of testing sensors to enable CSIRO to conduct scientific analysis on the interaction of this Solar Power System's electricity generation with the local weather conditions.
Autonomous Energy solution
- The Solar Power System was installed in two separate phases. The first took place in February 2009 when Autonomous Energy installed a 7kW Solar Power System. At the time this was the largest grid-connected Solar Power System in the ACT.
- In 2011 - once again working with the Autonomous Energy team - Radford College expanded their system to a 30kW commercial scale Solar Power System.
- This system features premium quality Solar Panels manufactured by Kyocera, SMA Solar inverters and a Solar Data Monitoring and display system.
